This is just a reminder that our annual NSC mock meets are this week!! I have not heard from anyone about not being able to make the meet so I am expecting everyone to be there. The meet line-ups are already written. If anything should come up please contact me by email or phone ASAP. Thanks!!

Thursday 10/25 - 11&Overs - 5:30 warm-up
------ 10&Under swimmers have the night off!

Please remember that the reason we have these meets is for new swimmers and parents to get a feel for what our CCWSL dual meets are like. The meets also show your coaches what we need to work on as a team and as individuals.

Swimmers are put into events that I want to get times from them. The events are not necessarily their best events. Most new swimmers can plan on swimming at least one freestyle event and one backstroke event.

Due to lack of coach availibility we are going to have to cancel practice on Thursday 12/28 & Friday 12/29. We will have practice as scheduled on Saturday 12/30 for White and Blue Team members.

Fri 12/29 - Red Team 10:30-11:15 / Gold, White, Blue Teams 10:30-Noon

Sat 12/30 - 10:30-noon WHITE & BLUE SWIMMERS ONLY

Mon 1/1 - No Practice

Tues 1/2 - Back to regular practice times

Weekday practices are open to all swimmers. Red Team will practice from 10:30-11:15am.

Saturday practices are still for White and Blue team members only.

If you are signed up for the SWIM FOR HUNGER INVITATIONAL at Wesleyan on 12/15-12/17 please remember to bring one food or hygiene item for each event that you are entered. We can all make a difference this holiday season.

Friday November 3rd there will be no practice due to the Newington High School Girl's swim team CCC South Conference Meet. Please plan accordingly.

There is no practice on Monday, October 2nd because of Yom Kippur. Newington High School is closed. We'll resume practices on Tuesday, October 3rd.

The 2006 Spring Clinic has begun! We're only one day in so it's not too late to sign up. We have only 10 spots left so hurry! Just show up at the pool any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday at 5:30 to sign up. Check out the Spring Clinic link on our website's main page for more information. We've received new information from our insurance company regarding who can participate in the Spring Clinic. On the flyers you all received at the banquet it states that the clinic is open to all current NSC or NHS swimmers. But, unfortunately, we have to limit registration to current NSC swimmers only. If you are a current NHS swimmer but not a current NSC swimmer you cannot participate in the clinic due to insurance reasons

NSC's 2005-2006 video yearbook, "TIMELESS" will be available for purchase at the banquet on Thursday, March 16th. A limited number of DVD copies with full motion menus will be just $10 each on the night of the banquet only. If you purchase or place an order (if the DVD's run out) on the night of the banquet the DVD's will be half off courtesy of Newington Swim Club. Orders placed after 3/16 will have to pay the full $20.

"TIMELESS" (33min.) includes a look back at NSC's memorable 2005-2006 season. The video yearbook also includes an extended, "Funny Kids" segment which includes our own American Idol.

The DVD's are of the DVD-R format and will play on most DVD players.

You've been hearing this phrase for the past few seasons, "We're closing the gap between NSC and the rest of Division I." But you've never heard this phrase, "NSC has arrived as a real threat at Championships."

All your hardwork at practice has resulted in our first win in Division I, three other very close meets in Division I, and our best showing yet at A Championships. Your coaches are very proud of everyone's efforts!

Congratulations on a great meet and a great win on Sunday! You ALL deserve it. You all swam great and your coaches are very, very proud of you. Enjoy it! :)

This Friday, January 13th, will be our team photo night! Sorry for the short notice. All team members are encouraged to be at the pool at 5:30 sharp for individual photos as well as our 2006 team photo. Order information will be handed out Friday night.

Red Team members can leave after their photos and the team photo are taken. Gold, White and Blue members will stay for practice until 7pm.

Unfortunately, we were not able to work out a practice schedule over Winter Break this year. So there will be no practices from 12/26-1/2. We will start up regular practices on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006. Sorry for any inconvience.

This next week of practice (12/19-12/23) will be our usual practice schedule.

The next week of practice (12/26-12/30) is still up in the air. We are working toward having our usual Winter Break practices during the morning hours. But as of right now we have not been able to officially schedule anything. As soon as we have any information we will send it your way.
